American Paper & Twine Announces Next Stage of Family Leadership 

August 1, 2020 (Nashville, TN)—American Paper & Twine, one of the region’s largest independently owned wholesale distributors of packaging materials, food service disposables, janitorial products, and office supplies, today announced that Karen Doochin Vingelen, a third generation member of the Doochin family, will assume the role of President and Chief Operating Officer. Her father, and current President, Robert Doochin will continue to serve as Chief Executive Officer. 

“I could not be more proud and excited to pass the mantle, I am confident now is the right time for Karen to take the helm,” said Robert Doochin. “The integral role Karen has played in so many of our strategic initiatives over the years is evidence that she is well prepared to navigate American Paper & Twine into a new era.” 

He continued, “since officially joining the family business over 20 years ago, Karen has been a key player and driving force behind modernizing APT’s business practices, improving our infrastructure, deepening our talent base, building our brand recognition and strengthening our vendor relationships and business partnerships. Her focus on innovation and making investments for long term growth have made us a more modern, nimble company and expanded our ability to service customers.”
